A Health and Taste #FarmliteSurprise by ITC Sunfeast Farmlite!

On the 25th day of April, 2014, the Kempegowda International Airport, Bangalore was all set to experience awesomeness, All thanks to Sunfeast - from the house of ITC Foods.

A unique consumer engagement program called ' #FarmliteSurprise ' rolled out with the launch of the healthiest Sunfeast Farmlite biscuit range. 

The first-of-its-kind engagement program by Sunfeast was aimed at creating awareness about, 'Health and Taste, Holding true to the product's promise'.

                                             

The program involved two large elements of surprise for the travelers after they de-board the aircraft and reached the airport lobby. The travelers navigated through the replica of a farm which encompasses windmills, actual almond trees, wheat farms etc. As they navigated through the farm and reached the baggage section, the baggage belt had to be manually pedaled using exercise cycles stationed at the venue. 

 

Many travelers volunteered and took up the challenge to get the conveyor belt moving to collect their luggage. Curious travelers started cycling and the conveyor belt loaded with Sunfeast Farmlite biscuits arrived for the travelers along with their baggage. 

Thus, Sunfeast farmlite managed to transform a mundane activity like waiting for your baggage into a fun workout and hence reinforcing the brand message that staying healthy can be fun!

Who could have thought that waiting for our baggage at the airport with hundreds of other strangers could turn into a healthy workout? Surprises like this aren't just healthy, but pleasing to the soul and inspiring to the heart. It's high time we start making health a priority in our lives for without it we are nothing and with it we can achieve anything and everything. Simple exercises like these in our daily routine would add years of health to our life. 

Now what's next is, everyone wants to experience such healthy surprises at every airport, bus stand, metro stations, railway stations etc. The time spent waiting can be made use of effectively by letting health get in through the doors of the soul.

A 'Halla Bol' UAE Trip for Pepsi IPL 2014!

Cricket + UAE + Pepsi IPL = Heaven!

Who can doubt it?

I was on my toes the moment I came to know I am going to the United Arab Emirates to cheer for Rajasthan Royals in their IPL game as a part of their #WeAreTheRoyals campaign.
What was next was impatient days and lots of packing!

The Visa and tickets were with us on 27th April'14 evening and we were all set to roll out the madness!

Day 1 - 28th April'14.

6.20 a.m - Enroute Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport Mumbai Terminal T2, For our flight to Dubai! Goosebumps, Tension and hell lot of on the edge nerves.

9.20 a.m - Boarded the flight after going through the immigration and check in process. First time taking off miles apart was an experience of sheer bliss!

11 a.m - Landed in Dubai at the Dubai International Airport. Whattay fun! Came out to find our car waiting for us to be taken to the hotel in Abu Dhabi.
The 2 hour road journey to the "Ritz Carlton" hotel in Abu Dhabi from Dubai enlightened me, with the tall buildings and infrastructure to die for. Awesome is the word.

Reached the hotel and was mesmerized with the beauty of it. A jewel in the desert. It had a private beach too. How cool.

It was the Day 1 and we were told to relax and admire the beauty all around and yes that's exactly what we did and oh yes, drooling in the yummy food was no exception in our list.

So many dining options in the hotel, Spoilt by choice but then my heart always wants more :)

Then walk around exploring the city, dinner and crashed the bed for Day 2 has lots of excitement to be ready for!

Day 2- 29th April'14.

Got up late to a beautiful view of the hotel room balcony after a peaceful sleep in the cozily made up bed.

5.20 p.m - Off to the stadium to cheer for Rajasthan Royals #HallaBol and what a cracker of a match it turned out to be against Kolkata Night Riders in the Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
It went down to the super over, got tied again but alas RR won it on the basis of number of sixes hit. Oh bwoy, that's some nail biting finish!

Back to the Hotel and straight to the dinner table, after some slurrps, Bumped into RR players and what's better than personally congratulating them for the epic win and wishing them good luck for the IPL! :D

Off to sleep! :)

Day 3- 30th April'14 -

7. a.m- Time to leave UAE and come back to motherland India. To the Abu Dhabi airport where some shopping beckoned for friends, family and then straight on the flight with a heavy heart which said,

"UAE, Thank you for the lovely memories, A great time with awesome people, I shall be back soon".

With some yummy chocolates I bid adieu to UAE and landed in Mumbai, India.

I Conclude by - A BIG THANK YOU TO RAJASTHAN ROYALS who undertook a great campaign #WeAreTheRoyals on social media which gave us all a fair chance to be a part of the IPL and witness RR playing live in the UAE, I and Saipriya ( co-winner) were fortunate to be blessed by this chance.

Amazing hospitality, a nerve wrecking game of cricket, loads of pampering and what a heaven!

All the best Rajasthan Royals for the IPL season! Rock on, Shine on!

From A Cricket enthusiast to an IPL maniac!

These days, Whenever I am put up the question- "What's exciting in your life?" ,

I answer- "PEPSI IPL on StarSports.com" 

Yes, It's that time of the year when all my cricket love and passion is on it's highest peak level!

What's the craziest thing I have done so I don't miss even a single shot of the PEPSI IPL?

I support two teams - CHENNAI SUPER KINGS and RAJASTHAN ROYALS! 

Whistle Podu and Halla Bol is all I do no matter what the news, Be it in a theater or a public mall, I am always checking for the scores and it it's a six, I scream and jump irrespective of the place I am in because it's the love of cricket that's making me do it all, and I cannot control it! Can I? :)

When it's PEPSI IPL time, All parties are been said a "NO", there is no outside, there is only inside because couch, T.V, food and Pepsi! ;)

But, wait, did you know that even when you don't have a t.v nearby and are travelling, you can be updated with live scores?

There is nothing like cricket to boost the mood, nothing like dancing in joy and sitting in superstition that if I get up, my team might lose a wicket! You become insane because you love cricket.

I have literally cried when I wasn't able to watch IPL matches due to travelling, I have fought to stay updated, I have done it all so I don't miss a ball!

And Now with StarSports.com it has become easier to dance!

A Heavenly Experience at The Leela, Mumbai!

Do you know heaven exists on Earth?
Oh, yes, you might be thinking this girl has lost her mind and probably needs a psychiatric treatment.
But No, I have actually experienced what I am talking about.

It was one lovely weekend in March - 15th to 16th 2014 where I had got an opportunity to live life "Queen size". A perfect weekend getaway at THE LEELA HOTEL, MUMBAI.

I checked in the hotel on 15th March'14 Saturday at 1.30 noon whereas the check in time was 2 p.m noon but that wasn't a problem at all because the staff was so sweet. As soon as I saw the pretty hotel, I fell in love, without entering in I could feel what it is, yes, that tinkling feeling in the stomach.

The beautifully created hotel is a delight to the eyes, and pleasure to the soul. With a pool, gym, spa, gardens and tight security - You feel at home always!
As mom and me entered in, Miss Akanksha from The Leela welcomed us in with a small aarti, garland and coconut drink to freshen us up!

Then we were guided to our ROOM no. "811" which truly gave meaning to the word, "King Size Deluxe", As soon as the door opened to the view of the room, I was transported to a different place where there is no stress. It had everything in it and yes a Jacuzzi too, Oh my lovely bathing time! :) 

We relaxed for some time and then went out to stroll in the beautiful arena! 

We came back at night around 11 p.m and what was waiting in the room was a "Welcome" message carved on desserts. Oh my, to see them, fall in love, save or eat -Confusion! So, I decided to click a picture and gulp in in! ;) 

And then, we went to a sinful indulgence at the buffet dinner at Citrus - The all day dining restaurant in The Leela. From chicken, pork sausages to homely dal - rice, it had everything to suit each person's taste buds. Spoiled by choice would be so apt! :)

It's never night at paradise, Is it? So, we decided to walk around in the beautiful place and see the complete hotel, clicked some pictures as memories live on forever and then came back to our room at 1.am to catch up on some sleep in our cozily made up bed! :) 

And before to checkout at Sunday noon, it was time was yummy mouth watering breakfast at Citrus, It has Egg Omelet, Tea, Stuffed tomato's and what not!

Some pool time and sun bathing!

*ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO AN END*

Sigh! So did the time at The Leela, Mumbai. 

We checked out but the memories, pampering and amazing hospitality shall forever stay in out hearts forever!

I Conclude by A BIG THANK YOU TO THE TEAM LEELA HOTEL, MUMBAI and LUXPRESSO for giving me this blissful opportunity. Had the time of my life. Look forward to be there again soon, till then you have made my life!

MALAYSIA - Where dreams become reality!

All these years of growing up and listening to stories by mom and dad had a beautiful place covered with attractions and where angels fell granting my wishes, turning me into a fairy!
Now I realize what it was all about.

It was MALAYSIA!
A bubbling, bustling melting-pot of races and religions where Malays, Indians, Chinese and many other ethnic groups live together in peace and harmony. It's a gastronomical paradise and home to hundreds of colorful festivals.
And to a person like me who loves celebrating and socializing, It's a boon :)

There are so many things to do in Malaysia but let me tell you the 5 I love the most -

1. Relaxing at 

Pulau Beras Basah, Langkawi, Kedah 

It offers a relaxing getaway with it's pristine beaches and lush green forests. This beach would be perfect to take some time out for myself, and relax with a book, then sunbathe and go for a refreshing swim in the clear blue waters. For a peace loving person like me, this place seems to be bliss!It will cater to provide me with the necessary stress relief of daily activities and a smile!

2. Visit to 

Cameron Highlands, Pahang

It is Malaysia's largest highland resort. So undoubtedly there is so much to do once I get here. Walks through lovely little villages, visits to the butterfly, strawberry, honey bee farms and sprawling tea plantations or meals at the delightful Tudor-styled country inns are pleasurable activities to be experienced. It's so pretty, I cannot take my eyes off it, I wonder how shall I take my legs out of it once I get in :)

3. Experiencing the Iconic 

Petronas Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur

With a height of 451.9 meters, the 88-storey twin structure Kuala Lumpur's crown jewel. It's majestic by the day and dazzling by night capturing the nations ambitions and aspirations perfectly. With doors opening at the Skybridge, it's sure to unfold breathtaking visions!

4. Bringing out the child in me by moving in 

Petrosains 'The Discovery Centre', Kuala Lumpur

Petrosains is a Science Discovery Centre that uses a fun, interactive approach to tell the story of the science and technology of the petroleum industry.

5. Ending on a Cultural dip in the beautiful 

National Museum, Kuala Lumpur

This Museum houses various exhibits depicting the historical background of the country, unveiling national treasures and learning new things about cultures, traditions, and people I never knew existed promises to be a lot of fun.

Malaysia is almost as diverse as it's culture and that makes it a perfect visit!

Towering skyscrapers look down upon wooden houses built on stilts while five star hotels sit just meters away from ancient reefs.

For the perfect holiday full of surprises, The time is now, The place is MALAYSIA! :)
